Next phase of NDIS in South Australia

01-Jan-2017

01.01.2017: The latest phase of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) rollout is underway in South Australia, with young people aged 15-17 years beginning to enter from today.

Disabilities Minister Leesa Vlahos has welcomed the next stage of the scheme, which provides a new level of support and flexibility for people with disability, their families and their carers.

When fully implemented, the NDIS will provide greater choice and control for more than 32,000 South Australians with disability.

As well as improving the lives of people with disability, it will also result in about 6,000 new jobs in the disability sector in South Australia.
