Who are we?
disAbility Living Inc. was established in 1984 to provide long term community accommodation and lifestyle support for young adults with disabilities. Our services have grown over time to include short term accommodation respite, transition accommodation, in-home support and community based social inclusion programs for children and adults, together with a range of professional services provided by our specialist Developmental Educator Support team.
Today, our mission is to foster an inclusive community that supports people to make real choices about how they want their lives to be. What will you do?
You will lead a team of support workers to deliver physical and lifestyle support services to clients within an accommodation context. You will be responsible for the coordination, development and quality of service delivery with specific responsibility for the people, physical and financial resources required to provide a high quality service to our clients.
A key focus of the role is to support and motivate your team ensuring they are trained and motivated to provide the highest level of client care and support. Additional duties include internal reports, time sheet approvals, client records management and other operational and administrative tasks required for the efficient delivery of our services.
Who are you and what will you bring?
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience and skills as a Community Service delivery leader
- Model quality practice and compliance during service delivery
- Have knowledge /experience of in-home support services
- Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance (NDIS) framework
- Have excellent problem solving capability and attention to detail
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Have a Cert IV in Disability or other relevant education
- Have demonstrated experience leading and managing teams

Employment is dependent upon obtaining a DHS Disability Screening and a Working With Children (WWCC). You must have the right to work in Australia, and the ability to travel independently across disAbility Living sites.
